Offensive Player of the Week: Heidelberg –
RB – Cartel Brooks
Heidelberg sophomore running back Cartel Brooks (Kokomo,
Ind.) rushed for a career-high 227 yards and three touchdowns, as
the Berg defeated Wilmington 56-2. Brooks broke the school
record for the longest rush with a 99 yard run for a touchdown. The
record was set back in 1956 at 98 yards. Brooks helped the
Berg recorded 695 yards of total offense, the most in program
history. Brooks was also named the Ohio Athletic Conference
Offensive Player of the Week.
Defensive Player of the Week: Otterbein – DE
– Pat Seesholtz
Otterbein senior defensive end Pat Seesholtz (Bremen,
Ohio) tallied seven tackles, including six solo and four tackles
for a loss in a 21-7 win over John Carroll. Seeholtz also recorded
one pass sack, forced a fumble, and blocked a field-goal attempt in
the third quarter. Seesholtz was also named the Ohio Athletic
Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
