John Carroll Quarterback Mark Meyers Named OhioCollegeFootball.com Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Mark Myers (Pepper Pike, OH / Cleveland St. Ignatius), in his
John Carroll debut, threw for school record 457 yards and five
touchdowns as the Blue Streaks scored 27 second quarter points in
capturing their first season-opening win since 2008, a 40-3
decision over St. Norbert (WI) College in Dublin, Ireland. Myers,
who had over 300 yards in the first half, completed 30 of his 43
attempts, and his 457 yards eclipsed the mark of his current
quarterbacks coach Tom Arth, who had thrown for 452 yards against
Ohio Northern on October 21, 2000.
