Mark Myers (Pepper Pike, OH / Cleveland St. Ignatius), in his John Carroll debut, threw for school record 457 yards and five touchdowns as the Blue Streaks scored 27 second quarter points in capturing their first season-opening win since 2008, a 40-3 decision over St. Norbert (WI) College in Dublin, Ireland. Myers, who had over 300 yards in the first half, completed 30 of his 43 attempts, and his 457 yards eclipsed the mark of his current quarterbacks coach Tom Arth, who had thrown for 452 yards against Ohio Northern on October 21, 2000.
