Calvin College will hosted the 2013 NCAA III
Great Lakes Regional Cross Country Championships today (November
16).
Mount Union led the OAC with a fourth place finish with
137 points, followed by Ohio Northern in 6th place (221),
John Carroll in 8th place (280), Otterbein in 14th place (442
points), Wilmington in 17th place (550), Heidelberg in 25th place
(677 points) and Baldwin Wallace in 29th place (735 points).
Mount Union junior Dan McGeary (Worthington/Thomas
Worthington) paced the OAC with a third place finish in a
time of 25:13.3.
The top two teams from each region automatic
qualifying for next week's NCAA III Championships in Hanover,
Indiana. All other teams are be eligible for an at-large team
bid which will be extended later this weekend. Both the
men's and women's NCAA III Championships field will include 16
at-large berths. In addition, seven individual qualifying spots for
both the men's and the women's races are up for grabs for runners
that are not on teams earning berths in the NCAA III
Championships.
