Offensive Player of the Year: Kevin Burke, QB,
Mount Union
Mount Union junior quarterback Kevin Burke
(Westlake/Lakewood St. Edward) has been named
D3football.com North Region Offensive Player of the Year.
Burke was the only starter back on offense this season for the
defending national champions and he has led the No. 1 ranked
Raiders to a 13-0 record, an Ohio Athletic Conference title and an
NCAA semifinal appearace for a 19th straight season. He has
completed nearly 63-percent of his passes for 3,351 yards with a
nation's best 43 touchdown passes and is also the team's second
leading rusher with 904 yards on the ground with 11 rushing
touchdowns.
Coach of the Year: Tom Arth, John Carroll
John Carroll first-year head coach Tom Arth has
been named the North Region Coach of the Year. In his rookie season
at the helm of the Blue Streaks, Arth led JCU to an overall
record of 9-2, an 8-1 mark in OAC play, and their first postseason
appearance since 2002.
