York (Pa.) Set to Host Division III Mideast Wrestling Regional

YORK, PA – York College has been selected to host the 2014
NCAA Mideast Wrestling Regional tournament on Sunday, March 2.
The event will be held in the M&T Bank Fieldhouse in the
Grumbacher Sport & Fitness Center. The regional championship
will feature 18 teams and 180 wrestlers as they attempt to qualify
for the 2014 Division III National Championships on March 14 &
15 at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The national
championships are being hosted by Cornell College in Iowa.
The top three finishers in the ten weight classes advance from
the regional to the national championships.
The teams participating at the York Mideast Regional are:
Baldwin Wallace, Brockport, Case Western Reserve, Elizabethtown,
Heidelberg, John Carroll, Lycoming, Messiah, Mount St. Joseph,
Mount Union, Mukingum, Ohio Northern, RIT, Thiel, Washington &
Jefferson, Waynesburg and York.
The tournament kicks off at 9:00 am. All day tickets are $12.00
for adults and $10.00 for students with a valid I.D. All tickets
will be sold at the event and there will be no pre-sale for the
regional championship.
The York regional is one of six regional sites. Loras (Central
Region), King's (East), Wabash (Midwest), Wesleyan (Northeast), and
Augsburg (West) are the five other institutions hosting regionals
on the weekend of March 1 & 2.
