Baldwin Wallace Wrestlers Picked to Finish First In Preseason Poll
Westerville, OH-Baldwin Wallace was tabbed as the favorite in preseason voting by the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) wrestling coaches for the fifth consecutive year.
Baldwin Wallace received 49 points and five seven-place votes, followed by Ohio Northern with 43 points and one first place vote and John Carroll with 35 points.
The Yellow Jackets, under the guidance of 13th-year Head Coach Jamie Gibbs, won their third straight OAC Championship, placed third at the NCAA Division III Championships and had an overall record of 18-2 (7-0 OAC) last season. BW will be returning six All-OAC performers and 21 letterwinners from a year ago.
BW opens its schedule on November 3-4, when it travels to Ithaca, New York to compete in the annual Ithaca University Invitational.
