MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Two Ohio Athletic Conference baseball teams are ranked in the 2024 D3Baseball.com Preseason Top 25. The Baldwin Wallace University baseball team, led by 14-year head coach Brian Harrison, was ranked No. 3. The Marietta College baseball team, led by 20-year head coach Brian Brewer, was ranked No. 8.
Baldwin Wallace sits at third with 518 total points. Johns Hopkins (Md.) University was ranked No. 1 with 17 first-place votes and 612 total points and Salisbury (Md.) University at No. 2 with 525 points and one first-place vote. Also receiving first-place votes were Endicott (Mass.) College with one, the defending national champion University of Lynchburg (Va.) with five, and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with one. Marietta checks in in the eighth position with 436 points.
Baldwin Wallace finished the 2023 baseball season with a 39-12 record and a 15-3 record in OAC play. The Yellow Jackets come off a Regional Championship, Super Regional Championship, and a National Semifinals appearance in the program's third trip to the Division III World Series.
Marietta ended the 2023 baseball season with a 37-13 record and a 14-4 record in conference play. The Pioneers finsihed runner-up during the regular season and in the tournament championship, and went on to host the Super Regional round of the Division III Baseball Championships.
