Heidelberg, Ohio Northern and 27 OAC Wrestlers Recognized in NWCA's Scholar All-American Awards
MANHEIM, PA - The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced today the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Scholar All-America awards for Individual and Team recipients. This year, a remarkable total of 418 wrestlers from 100 institutions have achieved the status of Scholar All-American. In the Ohio Athletic Conference, 27 wrestlers were recognized as NWCA Scholar All-Americans.
In the Team Scholar Awards, Heidelberg University finished in second place with a team GPA of 3.825, closely behind Johns Hopkins University with a 3.866. Ohio Northern University secured third place with a GPA of 3.786.
"Through their unwavering dedication, these athletes and teams showcase a commitment that extends beyond the mat and into the classroom. Congratulations to each of this year's recipients," shared Mike Moyer, NWCA Executive Director.
