John Carroll Women's Soccer Predicted to Win OAC Regular Season Title

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – John Carroll, under the direction of Head Coach Michael Marich, has been picked by the league coaches to win the 2024 Ohio Athletic Conference women’s soccer title.

John Carroll received four of 10 first place votes to collect 76 points. Capital (three first place votes) and Otterbein (two first place votes) tied for second place with 67 points each. Ohio Northern received one first place vote and collected 63 points, with Baldwin Wallace rounding out the top five with 52 points. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.

The Blue Streaks finished the 2023 season with a 16-2-5 overall record and 8-0-1 in the conference, securing the OAC regular season championship. John Carroll was undefeated on their home turf, where the top seeded team in the OAC championship won the program's second tournament title. For the first time since 2001, the Blue Streaks punched their ticket to the Division III Women's Soccer Championship and went on to advance to the Elite 8 for the first time in program history.

John Carroll kicks off the 2024 season on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 7:30 p.m. against Fredonia at Penn State University-Behrend’s Herb Lauffer Memorial Soccer Tournament in Erie, PA.
