Mount Union Picked to Finish First In Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll

WESTERVILLE, Ohio -  Mount Union has been tabbed as the favorites in preseason voting by the Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse coaches.

Mount Union tallied 47 points (five first-place votes), followed by Capital with 44 points (two first-place votes), Baldwin Wallace with 33 points, John Carroll with 31 points (one first-place vote) and Otterbein with 29 points.

Under the direction of third year Head Coach Bethany Snider, Mount Union will look to build on last season’s success. The Purple Raiders finished the 2024 season with a 12-4 overall record and 6-1 against league opponents. Key returners include 2024 OAC Offensive Player of the Year Katie Clark, OAC Goalkeeper of the Year Abby Lindkvist, and All-OAC selections Eden Kesler, Mackenzie Kolstad, Ella Nejad and Delaney Brown.

Mount Union will open the season on Saturday, February 15 at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.
