Ohio Northern Women's Tennis Predicted to Win 2025 OAC Title
WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Ohio Northern has been tabbed as the favorites in preseason voting by the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis coaches.
Ohio Northern tallied 24 points (four first-place votes) followed closely by Otterbein with 22 points (two first-place votes). John Carroll received 17 points in the poll, Capital with 11 points, Mount Union with 10 points, and Baldwin Wallace with 6 points.
The Polar Bears will be led by third-year head coach Sean Swisher. Last season the Polar Bears finished 18-6 overall and 5-1 in the conference. In last year's OAC tournament, the No. 2 seeded Polar Bears defeated top-seeded Otterbein to win the tournament title for the first time since 2013 and earned the automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship.
The Polar Bears open the spring season with three matches this weekend in Kentucky against Greenville (Ill.), Asbury (Ky.) and Transylvania (Ky.)
