NEW CONCORD, Ohio - Muskingum University is proud to announce the hiring of Christian Hall as its new Head Men's Lacrosse Coach.

Hall arrives at Muskingum following a season as the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia. In less than a year, he revitalized the program by more than doubling the roster size and signing the largest recruiting class in school history. His leadership guided the team to new program benchmarks, including its first-ever shutout and dramatic improvements in efficiency metrics on both sides of the field. He also established academic support structures, expanded youth engagement through clinics, and built strong alumni and community connections.

"Christian's strong background in and out of lacrosse instantly showcased his strong commitment to developing successful young men through the sport of lacrosse and one-on-one mentorship," said Muskingum Director of Athletics Kari Winters. "During the search process, Coach Hall created a strong vision of his program culture that will fit nicely around both the University's mission and the athletic department's established standards and expectations. His commitment to servant leadership bled through in many conversations. We welcome Christian and his fiancé to Ohio and look forward to watching him lead our program to heightened success shortly!"

"I am incredibly honored and excited to be named the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Muskingum University," said Hall. "I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Kari Winters and the search committee for their trust, vision and unwavering support throughout the process. This is a program with tremendous potential, and I'm committed to building a culture centered on hard work, accountability, and growth, both on and off the field. I look forward to developing student-athletes who will compete with pride, represent the university with integrity, and embrace the challenges ahead as we build something special here in New Concord."

Prior to Oglethorpe, Hall served as Assistant Defensive Coordinator and Adjunct Professor at Wingate University, his alma mater, where he helped lead the Bulldogs to an elite defensive season with a 7.58 goals-against average, 170 caused turnovers, and a 94% clearing rate. His efforts contributed to multiple All-American selections and a nationally recognized defensive unit.

Hall's coaching career also includes impactful stints at Hampden-Sydney College, SUNY Cortland, and Wingate University as a graduate assistant. While at Cortland, he helped lead the team to a SUNYAC Championship and an NCAA Tournament Round of 16 appearance, earning recognition as part of the 2021 SUNYAC Coaching Staff of the Year. He has coached teams to four conference championships, three NCAA Tournament appearances, and mentored five USILA All-Americans, five All-Region selections, and 12 All-Conference honorees.

In addition to coaching, Hall has served in athletic administration, teaching, and compliance roles. He also brings a unique background in service, having worked for the United States Secret Service from 2020–2022, where he was trained in high-level security, counter-surveillance, and trauma medicine.

Hall holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree from Wingate University and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He also currently serves on the NCAA Men's Lacrosse National Rules Committee (2025–2029).
