WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Adam Prescott, former Director of Athletic Communications at Otterbein University, is the 2025 recipient of the Bill Nichols Media Award. The Bill Nichols Media Award was created to recognize a member of the media who has demonstrated an understanding and passion for amateur athletics, while covering the student-athletes and programs of NCAA Division III and the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC). 
Prescott worked at Otterbein University from 2008 to 2024. He began his career at Otterbein in 2008 as the Assistant Sports Information Director/Communication Specialist, alongside veteran Sports Information Director, Ed Syguda. Syguda was the 2016 Bill Nichols Media Award recipient. Prescott was promoted to Sports Information Director in 2015, where he oversaw all public relations, marketing, publications and the athletics website for Otterbein's 21 athletic programs. Prescott also served as the media liaison for all home events and was responsible for statistics. He assisted the Director of Athletics with corporate sponsorships and was a member of the Hall of Fame committee.
Prescott was an active member of the College Sports Communicators, previously known as CoSIDA, and served as long-time chair of the OAC Sports Information Committee.
He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mount Union in 2008 and completed his master’s degree at Otterbein in 2015.
