WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Otterbein was tabbed as the favorite to raise the 2025 Ohio Athletic Conference women’s volleyball title by the leagues’ head coaches.
The Cardinals received six of the nine possible first place votes, collecting 62 votes to claim the top spot in the preseason poll. Marietta garnered the three remaining first place votes and 56 points to be slated second while Mount Union tallied 48 points to sit in third. Muskingum and Ohio Northern were tied for fourth with 40 points each, rounding out the top five. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.
Otterbein wrapped up the 2024 regular season with a 21-9 overall record and a 7-2 record during the conference slate. The Cardinals hoisted their third-straight and sixth overall OAC title before making their 10th overall and fourth-straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament. Otterbein will open the season at the Gettysburg Battlefield Classic on August 29th as they will take on Bridgewater College (Va.) at 5 p.m.
