Ohio Northern Paces the 2025 OAC Women’s Cross Country Preseason Poll

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Ohio Northern was picked to win the 2025 Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Title by the leagues’ head coaches.

The Polar Bears received six of the nine first place votes, collecting 61 points to claim the top spot in the preseason poll while Otterbein picked up two first place votes and 55 points to sit in second. Mount Union received the final first place vote, tallying 54 points to follow the Cardinals in third. Baldwin Wallace received 43 points to sit in fourth place while Capital rounded out the top five with 33 points. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.

Ohio Northern turned in a second place finish at the OAC Championships last season, securing 65 points with two top ten finishers. They went on to finish tenth at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship, scoring 259 points with three runners finishing within the top-50. The Polar Bears kick off the season at the Bluffton Beaver Dam Invite on Friday, August 29th at 6 p.m.
