Capital’s Perkins Named D3hoops.com Fourth Team All-American

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Samaree Perkins has capped off a standout 2025-26 season with national recognition, earning D3hoops.com Fourth Team All-America honors.

The Capital University women's basketball senior forward adds the distinction to an already impressive list of postseason accolades, which includes Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-America Honorable Mention honors. Perkins becomes just the sixth player in program history to earn All-America recognition from multiple organizations in the same season.

Perkins delivered a dominant senior campaign, leading the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) with 20.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game. She also etched her name into the Capital record book, finishing fourth in career scoring and second in career rebounding. Additionally, Perkins became just the third player in program history to record 500+ points and 300+ rebounds in a single season.

She recently concluded her collegiate career by representing Capital at the WBCA Senior All-Star Game in Salem, Virginia.

During the 2025-26 postseason, Perkins earned OAC Player of the Year, All-OAC First Team, D3hoops.com All-Region First Team, WBCA All-America Honorable Mention, D3hoops.com Fourth Team All-America honors, and was named a finalist for the Jostens Trophy, capping one of the most decorated seasons in program history.
