Baldwin Wallace University sophomore diver Makenna Mincey has been named a 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American, earning third team honors for the first time in her career.

Mincey is the lone representative from the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) on this year’s Academic All-America team and one of just seven student-athletes from institutions across the state of Ohio to receive the distinction.

A standout both in the classroom and in competition, Mincey holds a perfect 4.000 grade point average while majoring in mathematics and accounting. She becomes the latest Baldwin Wallace student-athlete to earn the prestigious honor, as the Yellow Jackets continue to lead the OAC in all-time Academic All-America selections.

On the Boards

Mincey delivered a historic season in the pool, highlighted by a runner-up finish in the 1-meter event at the NCAA Division III Championships to earn All-America honors. She also claimed the NCAA Division III Region I title in the 1-meter.

At the conference level, Mincey was named OAC Diver of the Year after sweeping both the 1-meter and 3-meter titles at the OAC Championships. Her performance earned her multiple All-OAC honors and solidified her as one of the top divers in Division III.

Career Accolades

In just two seasons, Mincey has built an impressive résumé, earning All-OAC honors four times while capturing three OAC individual championships. She is also a two-time OAC Diver of the Year selection.

Mincey holds both the OAC and Baldwin Wallace records in the 1-meter 11-dive event with a score of 520.10. Additionally, she owns multiple facility records at the BW Natatorium, further cementing her place among the program’s elite performers.

In the Classroom

Outside of competition, Mincey continues to excel academically. In addition to her Academic All-America honor, she has been named Academic All-OAC and earned CSC Academic All-District recognition. She is also a consistent member of the Baldwin Wallace Dean’s List.
