Four Earn USTFCCA All-Region Honors


Men's Track Athlete – Matt Molinaro – Ohio Northern

Molinaro, a senior from Sterling Heights, Minnesota, is ranked first nationally in the 800 with a time of 1:51.71 (converted to 1:50.14 for track size). That time left him as the ninth fastest performer in NCAA DIII history. Molinaro is also ranked 25th nationally in the mile with a time of 4:11.56.


Men's Coach of the Year – Kevin Lucas – Mount Union

Lucas, in his eighth year at Mount Union, has his men ranked fourth in the final National Team Rankings and first in the Great Lakes Region. The Purple Raiders captured yet another OAC championship and won every event title that was 500 meters and down. Mount Union also nabbed the All-Ohio team title earlier in the season.


Men's Assistant Coach of the the Year – Nate Heddleston – Mount Union

Heddleston, in his fourth year at Mount Union, guided the Raider hurdlers to the second-best and fourth-best times on the NCAA Division III Descending Order List this year. His athletes were instrumental in Mount Union’s climb to a fourth-place national ranking heading into the championship meet.


Women's Track Athlete of the Year – Emily Richards – Ohio Northern

Richards, a senior from Delaware, Ohio, set an NCAA Division III record in the 800 this year with a time of 2:05.28. Her top mile time of 4:46.11 this season also ranks sixth in NCAA Division III indoor collegiate history, while her 3000 time of 9:23.61 sits second in NCAA Division III indoor collegiate history.
