Purple Raiders Picked to Finish First in Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll

Mount Union, under the direction of third-year Head Coach Bethany Snider, has been picked by the league coaches to win the Ohio Athletic Conference women’s lacrosse title in 2026.

Mount Union received four of 7 first place votes to collect 34 points. Baldwin Wallace received three first place votes, with 33 points. Ohio Northern and Otterbein lands in the third spot with 22 points each, followed by Capital with 17 points. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.

The Purple Raiders finished the 2025 season with a 14-5 overall record and were second in the OAC with a 6-1 mark in conference play. They won the OAC Tournament championship for the seventh time in program history and advanced to the NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Championship.

The Purple Raiders will open the season with a 1 p.m. start Saturday, Feb. 14th at Depauw University in Greencastle, IN.
