NEW CONCORD, Ohio — May 1, 2026 — Ohio Northern University women secured their third consecutive conference crown, while the University of Mount Union men secured their 15th straight title at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Muskingum University, April 30-May 1.
Ohio Northern Women Win in Thrilling Finish
Ohio Northern edge Mount Union in a meet that came down to the final events. With the teams tied at 187 points late in the competition, ONU surged ahead by winning the 5,000 meters and hammer throw, ultimately finishing with 212 points to Mount Union’s 208.
The Polar Bears were powered by standout performances across the track and field:
- Samantha Roth swept the 10,000m and 5,000m, earning OAC Women’s Outdoor Distance Runner of the Year honors.
- Anna Brady and Katelyn Wagner delivered a 1–2 finish in the shot put.
- Avery Baker-Schlendering captured the high jump title.
- Allie Locke won the hammer throw with a mark ranking sixth in ONU history.
- ONU’s coaching staff earned OAC Outdoor Coaching Staff of the Year for both men’s and women’s programs.
The victory marks ONU’s sixth women’s outdoor championship.

Mount Union Men Extend Historic Championship Streak
The University of Mount Union men’s team continued its dominance, securing the
2026 OAC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship with
254 points, finishing 73 points ahead of runner-up Ohio Northern.
The Purple Raiders’ performance featured excellence across all event groups:
- Ryder Greenwood, named Sprinter of the Meet, won both the100m (10.46) and 200m (21.29).
- Stephe Ulrich earned Distance Runner of the Meet after winning the 5,000m.
- Mount Union swept the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
- Tyler Kohlmann led a dominant showing in the 800m.
- Multiple All-OAC finishes highlighted the team’s depth in hurdles, jumps, and throws.
The championship marks Mount Union’s
OAC-record 43rd outdoor title, further extending a remarkable streak.
