MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference left-handed pitcher
Brit Kostura (Teqesta, Fla./Jupiter Christian School) has been named to the D3baseball.com All-American team.
Kostura, who garners his first career All-American accolade, was named to the fifth team after being a second team All-Region VII honoree. He is one of five players from the state of Ohio and the lone representative from the Ohio Athletic Conference to be recognized.
This season,
Kostura appeared in 12 games with nine starts for a record of 5-1. He allowed 26 runs (23 earned) for a 3.07 earned run average (ERA).
Kostura struck out a career-high 63 batters with 20 walks in 67.1 innings pitched.
For his efforts,
Kostura became just third player in program history and the second in a row to be named the Kent Tekulve OAC Co-Pitcher of the Year. He also earned his first All-OAC honor as he was a first team honoree.
Kostura threw the fifth no-hitter in program history on May 2 against John Carroll University. He was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week and the NCBWA National Pitcher of the Week Honorable Mention on May 7, the OAC Pitcher of the Week on May 5, and was a part of the OAC All-Tournament Team. Kostura has appeared in 22 games with 10 starts. He has a career record of 5-1 with one save in 84.0 innings pitched.
Kostura has allowed 30 runs (26 earned) for a career ERA of 2.79.
Off the diamond, he is a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of Alpha Chi Sigma and Dayton C. Miller honoraries.
BW finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 32-15 and a 13-5 mark in the OAC. The Yellow Jackets won the OAC Tournament Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III Regional Tournament.
