Ohio Northern Picked to Finish First in Women's Tennis Preseason Poll

Ohio Northern, under the direction of fourth-year Head Coach Sean Swisher, has been picked by the league coaches to win the Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis title in 2026.

Ohio Northern received four of 5 first place votes to collect 16 points. Otterbein received one first place vote, with 13 points. Capital lands in the third spot with 9 points, followed by Mount Union with 8 points and Baldwin Wallace with 4 points. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.

The Polar Bears finished the 2024-2025 season with a 19-5 overall record and were first in the OAC with a 5-0 mark in conference play. They won the OAC Tournament championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championship.

The Polar Bears will play next on Saturday, Feb. 7th in Lima, OH.
