Alic and Handrahan Earn IWLCA Great Lakes First Team Honors

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Ohio Athletic Conference was represented by two of the region’s top women’s lacrosse student-athletes as Clare Alic of Baldwin Wallace University and Haylee Handrahan of University of Mount Union were named to the 2026 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Great Lakes All-Region First Team.

The IWLCA recognized 256 student-athletes across Division III with All-Region honors, with first and second team selections announced across eight regions nationwide. All honorees are now eligible for selection to the 2026 IWLCA Division III All-American teams, which will be announced on May 22.

A junior midfielder, Clare Alic earned First Team All-Region recognition following another standout season for the Yellow Jackets. She continued to establish herself as one of the top all-around players in the conference and region, helping lead Baldwin Wallace to a successful 2026 campaign.

Haylee Handrahan, a senior attacker for the Purple Raiders, collected the first IWLCA All-Region honor of her career after a dominant offensive season. Earlier this spring, she was named the OAC Offensive Player of the Year after leading Mount Union in goals (47), assists (24), and points (71).

The selections continue the OAC’s strong tradition of success in women’s lacrosse, highlighting two student-athletes who made a major impact both within the conference and on the national stage.
