Two OAC Student-Athletes Earn NFCA All-America Honors
The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its 2026 NCAA Division III All-America teams, with two Ohio Athletic Conference student-athletes earning Second Team All-America honors for their outstanding performances this season.
Mount Union’s Kendyll Cahill and Muskingum University’s Cara Taylor were both recognized among the nation’s top Division III softball student-athletes following exceptional 2026 campaigns.
Cahill, a standout pitcher for the Purple Raiders, helped lead Mount Union to one of its strongest seasons in recent history. She was previously named First Team All-Region VII by the NFCA and continued to establish herself as one of the top pitchers in Division III softball throughout the year.
Taylor, an outfielder for the Fighting Muskies, also earned First Team All-Region VII honors before being selected as a Second Team All-American. Her consistent offensive production and leadership played a major role in Muskingum’s success during the 2026 season.
The NFCA All-America teams are voted on by the Association’s All-America Committees, which are made up of one head coach from each of the NCAA’s 10 Division III regions. Student-athletes who earned first-, second-, or third-team all-region honors were eligible for national consideration.
The OAC’s pair of All-Americans further highlights the conference’s continued success and presence on the national stage in Division III softball.
