Muskingum's Cara Taylor Earns CSC Academic All-America Second Team Honors

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Muskingum University's Cara Taylor has been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® Division III Softball Second Team, recognizing her outstanding achievements both on the field and in the classroom.

Taylor becomes one of the nation's top student-athletes to receive the prestigious honor after another exceptional season for the Fighting Muskies. The CSC Academic All-America program recognizes student-athletes who have demonstrated excellence in competition while maintaining outstanding academic success.

A standout outfielder, Taylor played a pivotal role in Muskingum's success throughout the 2026 season. Earlier this spring, she earned NFCA First Team All-Region VII honors and was later named an NFCA Second Team All-American after helping lead the Muskies to another successful campaign.

Taylor's selection to the CSC Academic All-America Second Team further highlights her ability to excel both on the diamond and in the classroom, embodying the Division III philosophy of balancing academic and athletic achievement.

The Academic All-America® program, selected by College Sports Communicators, is one of the highest honors awarded to collegiate student-athletes and recognizes the nation's elite performers for their combined accomplishments in athletics and academics.

Taylor's recognition adds to an impressive list of national honors earned by Ohio Athletic Conference student-athletes during the 2025-26 academic year and further showcases the conference's commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
